v2.1.2 — Hot Fix Release October 2, 2026

Features

Encapsulated PDF Display Fix

Hotfix 2.1.2 corrects a defect in which DICOM Encapsulated PDF objects did not display in AdvaView. No new functionality is introduced in this release.

Issue addressed: Opening a DICOM Encapsulated PDF displayed the message "No online PDF viewer installed" in place of the document, and the PDF series thumbnail did not display properly.

Behavior after this hotfix:

  • Encapsulated PDFs now render inside the AdvaView viewport using the browser's built-in PDF viewer, and the "No online PDF viewer installed" message no longer appears.
  • PDF series thumbnails now display correctly in the thumbnail panel.
  • Standard (non-PDF) image series load and display unchanged.
info

PDF rendering in this release depends on the browser's built-in inline PDF viewer. A future release will implement PDF.js-based rendering to convert the PDF into a standard viewable image.

Known Anomalies

  • 231 — Stack image sync toolbar is out of sync with actual sync state

    • Description: When displaying a study with series that are auto-image synced, if the user turns "off" the stack sync, it will turn "on" instead. Selecting it a second time will actually turn it "off". When dragging display sets into view that are syncable, the image stack sync will be "on" in the new viewports, even though stack sync is "off".
    • Impact to Users: No impact. Auto-image sync can only be enabled in a hanging protocol, and it is not in use for any hanging protocols in FlexView Diagnostic. Hanging protocols are not configurable by users; thus, the end user cannot create this state.
    • Workaround: This anomaly does not affect users of FlexView Diagnostic. No user workaround is required.
  • 537 — Rounding error in onscreen display of some calibrated measurements

    • Description: There is a slight discrepancy in displayed measurements due to a computational rounding error. This occurs when the software calculates the length of a line in pixels and converts it to millimeters based on the predefined pixel-to-millimeter ratio.
    • Impact: This issue does not occur consistently but may be more noticeable at certain levels of image zoom. The rounding error is minimal, generally within +/- 1% of the actual line length. For example, a calibrated measurement of 10mm might display as 9.99mm.
    • Workaround: No workaround needed; this anomaly will be fixed before the device is available to users.
