More Tools Menu
The More Tools Menu provides access to additional image manipulation and analysis tools.
- Access the menu by hovering over or selecting the dropdown to the right of the Reset View control
- Tools selected from this menu apply to the active viewport unless otherwise specified
View Controls
Reset View
Resets all image manipulations applied to the active viewport.
- Restores default position, zoom level, and window/level settings
Rotate Right
Rotates the image 90 degrees clockwise.
Flip Horizontally
Flips the image along the horizontal axis.
Invert
Inverts the grayscale intensity values of the image.
Navigation and Synchronization
Stack Scroll
Links multiple viewports to scroll synchronously through image stacks.
- Useful for comparing related series across viewports
Image Sync
Synchronizes image navigation across spatially related viewports, maintaining alignment between different orientations or series. When enabled, Image Sync uses spatial registration based on the coordinate information defined in the DICOM metadata to align viewports — ensuring that navigation remains positionally consistent across series that share a common frame of reference. Image Sync relies on DICOM spatial coordinates for alignment. It does not perform anatomic registration. Series that lack compatible spatial coordinate metadata may not synchronize as expected.
Behavior
- Maintains spatial alignment between viewports across Stack and MPR display modes
- Supports synchronization across all combinations of Stack and MPR viewports within the same frame of reference
- Effect is bi-directional — sync functions from both display modes and from both Workspace A and Workspace B
- Reference Lines always update regardless of the Image Sync toggle state
The only state that affects synchronization behavior is the Image Sync toggle. The display mode of each workspace (Stack or MPR) does not determine whether sync occurs — if Image Sync is on, viewports synchronize; if it is off, they do not.
Synchronization Behavior Reference
| Workspace A Mode | Workspace B Mode | Image Sync Toggle | Images Scroll In-Sync | Reference Lines |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stack | Stack | On | Sync | Updated |
| Stack | Stack | Off | No Sync | Updated |
| MPR | MPR | On | Sync | Updated |
| MPR | MPR | Off | No Sync | Updated |
| MPR | Stack | On | Sync | Updated |
| MPR | Stack | Off | No Sync | Updated |
| Stack | MPR | On | Sync | Updated |
| Stack | MPR | Off | No Sync | Updated |
If Image Sync is toggled On: Stack ↔ Stack syncs, MPR ↔ MPR syncs, and Stack ↔ MPR syncs. All combinations are supported within the same frame of reference.
Reference Lines
Displays spatial reference lines across related viewports.
- Indicates the relative position of slices between viewports
- Reference Lines update regardless of the Image Sync toggle state
Visualization Tools
Magnify
Provides localized magnification of a selected region within the image.
- Allows inspection of fine detail without changing overall zoom level
Cine
Enables playback of image sequences within the active viewport.
- Toggle the tool to display playback controls
- Disable by selecting the tool again or closing the control panel
Analysis Tools
Probe
Displays pixel intensity values at the cursor location.
- Shows values such as Hounsfield Units (HU) where applicable
Calibration Tool
Allows manual calibration or override of pixel spacing.
- Measurements performed after calibration will display "USER"
DICOM Tag Browser
Displays DICOM metadata for the selected image.
- Provides access to top-level attributes for inspection
Scale Overlay
Displays a visual scale bar overlaid on the viewport, providing a real-world pixel reference for the image being viewed. When enabled, a yellow ruler with tick marks appears along the bottom of the viewport, labeled with the corresponding pixel measurement (e.g., 500 px).
Lock Alignment Left
Locks the image alignment to the left side of the viewport. When enabled, the image remains anchored to the left edge, preserving its horizontal position regardless of zoom level or layout changes.
Lock Alignment Right
Locks the image alignment to the right side of the viewport. When enabled, the image remains anchored to the right edge, preserving its horizontal position regardless of zoom level or layout changes.
Tool Behavior
Tools selected from the More Tools Menu apply to the active viewport unless explicitly designed to synchronize across multiple viewports.
Only one tool is active at a time. Selecting a new tool will replace the previously active tool.
Use synchronization tools (e.g., Stack Scroll, Image Sync, Reference Lines) when reviewing related studies across multiple viewports.
