Pan and Zoom

The Pan and Zoom tools control image magnification and positioning within the viewport.

These tools are commonly used together when reviewing detailed image regions.

Zoom Tool​

The Zoom Tool adjusts the magnification of the image within the active viewport.

Usage​

  • Select the Zoom Tool from the toolbar
  • Click and drag within the viewport:
    • Up / Down → Increase or decrease magnification

The current magnification level is displayed within the viewport.

Pan Tool​

The Pan Tool repositions the image within the viewport without changing magnification.

Usage​

  • Select the Pan Tool from the toolbar
  • Click and drag within the viewport to move the image

This tool is typically used when the image is zoomed in to navigate across different regions.

Behavior Notes​

Pan and Zoom operations affect only the active viewport and do not modify the underlying image data.

Use the Zoom Tool to focus on areas of interest, then use the Pan Tool to navigate across the image at higher magnification levels.
